Vibes Over Hustle | The Energetic Edge of Modern Entrepreneurship

Because you will upgrade every area of your life when you start to realize that you are your business and you are the one that needs the investing into yourself, so that you can invest into everything else externally, whether it's the house that you want, whether it's the car that you want, whether it's whatever physical thing that you're trying to manifest into your life.
I deeply believe that you can't do that until you've actually come home to yourself and you deeply believe that you're worthy of receiving all of this love and physical items and money.
We are moms, we are bosses, and we're living abroad.
And in this brand new season of this exciting podcast, we are boosting the woman to woman connection through deep, intimate conversations to pause, reflect and go beyond the scheme deep.
And we are here to celebrate your unique journey.
No matter how old your business or your babies or where you are in the world, you are not alone.
It's time to go deeper, understand better and lean into more harmony and fun along the way.
We are Desiree and Iva, and this is Mom Bosses Abroad.
Hi, and welcome to the Mom Bosses Abroad podcast.
I'm Iva Perez, and I'm here with my podcast co-host, Desiree Gonzalez.
And today we are so excited to talk about the world of energetic alignment in business with incredible Meagan Hughes.
And in today's conversation, we are going to be exploring how aligning your energy is the foundation for business growth.
Because before you can hold a business, you have to learn to hold yourself.
So hi, Meagan, welcome to our podcast.
Hey, girls, it's so nice to be here with you.
Thank you for having me.
Meagan is a former traditional business owner, and is now a Reiki, breathwork and Pilates coach.
Meags made the shift to Enagic about two years ago in pursuit of more time, health and freedom first and foremost for her family.
Alongside her two little humans, she embraced a life of adventure, traveling full time around Australia for 12 months.
And in just two short years, she has generated over a million US dollars in sales in this space and earned multiple six figures, proving that financial success and lifestyle freedom can go hand in hand.
So now, she really helps others to break free from that conventional grind, build their own thriving businesses and create a life of flexibility, wellness and abundance.
Oh, Meagan, we're so honored to have you here and to share your experience and to share your wisdom with all of us because I think you really do have that magic ingredient to what is needed to be successful in this space.
Thank you so much.
It's so nice to be able to connect with you guys and be able to come on and share my journey and my story.
And yeah, I guess dive a little deeper into what I mean by energetics because so many people, like when I talk about this, when I actually bring energetics into it, they're just thinking of the woo-woo stuff behind the scenes that maybe some people don't align with and some people do and we've all got our own belief systems.
But for me, energetics mindset and embodiment has been the real key piece of bringing all these three things together and really exploring all parts of me that I had really tried to exile for so many years and to actually come home to fully embody who I am and shift out these old limiting beliefs, these old stories, the old paradigms, the generational patterns that come into play when we grow into business entrepreneurship.
All of these generational patterns will come up and play a role in either moving you forward or holding you back.
And so I think the key piece of my success has really been about unpacking what my body has stored in terms of the trauma stored in the body in terms of these stories and generational patterns so that I could really change even my money story, even just everything that's associated with running a really successful business.
Yeah, I find it incredible because a lot of people, no matter in which part of business they're in, like they don't realize, they don't understand that that plays such a crucial role in how you show up in your life, but also in your business, right?
All of this alignment, people are not aware of these energetics.
So how do you actually, for someone who's never heard about this, like what is energetics alignment?
Like how do you, like what is it?
How do you actually explain that to someone?
Yeah, yeah, really beautiful questions.
So many people are like, what is energy?
We are all energy, like predominantly all of our bodies are made up of energy.
So when we understand the frequency and what we vibrate at and what's holding in our bodies, we can discern where the blocks are so that we can actually call in the aligned lifestyle that we really truly deeply desire.
And I truly believe that without becoming a frequency match to what we really deeply want, we can't actually physically manifest that in.
And so a lot of the work that I do and a lot of what I explain to people is that essentially energy is stored in the body in terms of particularly moments in our life that we associate a trigger with.
So when somebody says to me like, this happened in my life and it was so overwhelming or this happened with my partner and it was so overwhelming or this happened in my business and I didn't know how to handle it.
It's usually because there's a part of you, a younger version of you, the inner child who's going through something in that moment where she's triggered because of the story and the association that we store within the energy body.
And so what I tend to do in terms of what I do with my energetics is actually go in and pinpoint and help people to extract and figure out what that part of you needed in that moment.
In any given moment that this trigger comes up, then now we're not operating from this young child who's trying to run a business because usually she will come online and try to run the show or try to run your life or your marriage and realistically, what happens is if she's only five or 10 or she doesn't have the skill set to actually articulate how to run the business, we shut down.
We can't actually physically run the business.
We can't actually physically run the marriage, be the parent.
It's associated in everything that we do as women.
And so what happens is when she comes online, this part of us that lives within us that stores this emotion that lives in our chakras, we are then operating from this wounded area of our life, which is why we can get really stuck in business, in relationships, in parenting, all the things.
And this part of you is missing something.
And so with the energetics and the embodiment, what I tend to do is help people come back into, what is that part of you?
What is she actually deeply yearning for?
And what does she need in this moment where you don't feel safe enough to keep moving the needle forward?
Because there's sometimes a block, right?
There's like a block, you know, those moments where you go to do something in business and it's so big, it's so out of your comfort zone.
It's nothing you've done before.
Maybe let's just take getting up on stage and talking in front of people.
For instance, let's just say that that's what you're doing next in business.
If you go to do this and there is a part of you that froze when she was 12 and she had to get up in front of assembly and she had to speak about being, you know, the school leader or something.
And she was absolutely petrified and all she wanted was for her parents to be there and give her a big cuddle and be like, I've got you, you're going to do such an amazing job.
We are so proud of you.
And that's what she needed in this moment, but it wasn't given to her right because she was at school.
Her parents weren't there.
She was forced to go up on the stage.
She was feeling so overwhelmed, so nervous.
And she gets up there and the trembling, the discomfort that's in this 12-year-old little girl's body.
And then she's up there with the microphone, trying to perform, trying to put on this whole thing because that's what she's been told to do.
She's now suppressing the emotion of actually what she needed in that moment.
So when this happens, then we operate, let's just say I'm 33 now.
So I'm 33, operating my business.
And let's say I go to talk on stage and I'm that 12-year-old little girl.
Then I go on stage and that same sensation comes into my body.
Energy, right?
This is where it starts.
I start to tremble, my lips start to tremor.
I all of a sudden feel this sick sensation in my stomach.
I'm taken back to this moment.
It's triggering me.
Getting up on that stage is triggering me back to the 12-year-old version of me where her needs were unmet.
And we learn to suppress these emotions and push them down so deep into the basement so that we can operate in a way that we think society wants to see us.
Right?
And then what we do, energy work and in this field of what I tend to help people go into is actually going back to this moment, energetically clearing out the space in terms of using Reiki, using breath work, using different modalities to help the energy shift, whether it be breath, whether it be somebody else coming in and performing shamanism or Reiki or whatever modality you tend to lean in to.
In physiology, there's so many different modalities that you can lean into.
That's going to be the support system to help your nervous system feel really safe, right?
But in that safety, there's one key piece that I think a lot of people miss, which is integration.
And the integration is what I like to also think about as embodiment work.
And this is where we actually discern and create safety in the body through energetics work and then in the integration, it's going, oh, I see now, I see this part of me that really deeply yearned for love, for connection, for somebody to tell me that I was going to be okay, and that I wasn't going to die when I got on that stage.
And instead, I just had to suppress everything, so it became a stored emotion in the body, a block in the chakra.
And then now every time I go to do that exact same thing or something similarly where it brings up the same sensation in the body, I now run a belief that I'm not good at public speaking, or that I don't like public speaking.
And in reality, when we unpack this, it's actually not me as the 33-year-old version that doesn't enjoy public speaking.
God forbid if it's her first rodeo as a 33-year-old woman, she doesn't even know, she's never given it a go.
The only part of her that's given it a go is the 12-year-old version that had unmet needs, that wasn't able to articulate what she was going through and get those needs met, which means that she's now running the ship.
The 12-year-old girl is now running the show, running the business, doing the talk on stage.
She's now so deeply nervous.
Imagine you've got this epic presentation to come and share with people.
But if you're operating from the 12-year-old girl, how on earth can she give the wisdom that you've got as the 33 or the 44 or the 66-year-old version of you has because she simply can't, she's 12.
This is a key piece in entrepreneurship that I really believe that we have to unpack these unmet needs that are stored within the body energetically, spiritually, and also physically.
This is a physical emotion where the anxiety is at the surface.
And sometimes anxiety can run the show because it felt so big and so overwhelming that we now associate with a deep core belief that I get anxious when I step on stage to speak.
And I can guarantee you if you spend a little moment with the part of you that has ran this belief for so long and you actually find the love, compassion and the things that she deeply needed and yearned for in that moment and you start to actually operate and give that to her, whether that be closing your eyes down, witnessing where she was and energetically holding her and going, I am so proud of you.
I'm so proud of you for doing what you thought was best in this moment and not learning to use your voice and say, Hey, Mom, I really need you at assembly.
I'm feeling really deeply nervous about this talk that I have to give and present about being the leader of the school.
And I really want to do it.
But there's something in me that tells me that I really need you there.
I just need you to cuddle me and tell me that you're proud of me before I go on stage.
And yet, as children, we're not taught to ask for these things because it's always living in such a fast paced life of let's move, let's move, let's get to school.
And so we were always taught, let's move, let's move on from the emotion.
Let's not worry about it and we've got to get to school because our parents need to get to work.
And so we can't even feel safe to ask for our parents to be there for the things that we deeply need as children and explore it and it holds us back in business.
All right, mamas, we get this question all the time.
What are your go-to products that actually help your family stay well and thrive?
Yep.
And the truth is we don't do complicated.
We do powerful basics that work with our bodies and our lifestyles.
It really comes down to four essentials that have become non-negotiable for us.
So first up, our Kang'en K8 Water Ionizer.
It's not just water, it's hydration and emission.
Alkaline, antioxidant-rich and energizing.
It helps us detox, focus and feel like super women, you know, without the caffeine crash.
And next is the Anespa Shower System.
Just think of it as a spa in your bathroom.
It really filters out the harsh stuff like chlorine and infuses your water with hot spring minerals.
Our skin says, thank you, and so do our kids.
Then there's the M-Guard, our EMF Harmonizer.
You know, with all this tech around us, this little device helps bring back calm to our space.
It's subtle, but powerful.
Like that mom intuition, you just can't explain.
And finally, Ucon.
It's Okinawan Turmeric, growing in volcanic soil, packed with natural curcumin.
It's our immune system's bestie and our God's happy place.
Plus, it comes in tea, so hello, ritual moment.
You can explore all of them at oilyessentialsfamily.com/water.
And if something in your soul whispers, this could be a business too, then head on over to mombossesabroad.com and let's chat.
Because radiant health, time freedom, and real wealth, they are not extras.
They are your birthright.
It seems like this was back a couple of generations ago.
It was very common for parents to just allow the moment to just go away as fast as possible, because they didn't know.
They were unconscious on how to address these feelings and the moment that was happening.
So it feels like a couple of generations ago, the common standard was to say, Oh, it's okay.
You're fine.
You'll be fine.
All is good.
It's okay.
It wasn't that bad.
You fell and you had a little scratch, but it's nothing.
It's just like, let's move along.
And also what you say is this now pervasive modern world rhythm that we're in, where efficiency is everything.
It's like maximizing and it's making the most out of the little time that we have.
And we have to just be on the go, go, go, go, go, go.
So it's, as you say, it's so incredibly telling that the whole aspect of self-regulation and this personal energy management that we need to do to hold ourselves, to hold this inner parts of ourselves that are very young, very vulnerable, that are still stuck in that moment in time, they don't get a chance because we either were not helped to address them when they happened, but also now as adults, the world doesn't stop for us.
So we get the message that you need to keep on going, like nobody's stopping to take a look at what is going on with you.
So what do you feel, Meagan, are some of those common energetic blocks that hold people back in terms of business success because they are not really self-regulating or taking the time to do this energy inventory and checking in with this inner parts of themselves?
Yeah, I think some, I mean, they can be a range of things, but I think the most common that I see is the feeling of unworthiness or that people run an assumption that because I'm an introvert, I can't be successful.
I'm not as extroverted as the person that I'm looking at on the stage, and I can't possibly do that.
And so we associate unworthiness or introverted or shy, you know, not being popular, things like this.
They're very common things that we can go into as a child, where it then runs the show, this part of us that didn't feel popular enough, this part of us that felt like she wasn't deserving of love, this part of us that didn't feel like she was a part of the popular group.
So why would anyone choose to do business with her?
That kind of, they seem to be super common and can really highlight in business, because I think a lot of us, you know, can get into that comparison of like she's doing so much better than me.
And this is where we can, yeah, we can really hold ourselves back because these parts of us are so valid.
And what I see a lot of people do is that they actually want to push these parts of them away, like they don't belong anymore.
This part of me that's shy can't be with me.
This part of me that is feeling unworthy, she can't belong here for me to be successful.
So we start to push everything out, all these versions of us that feel too much because we were taught to exile them in order to do like I said, the speech on stage.
We exile the part of us that feels like she's so nervous, the part of us that's shaking.
We exile her to get on with it.
And so that's a really common thing I see that people exile all these parts and then they go to speak and then or they go to start the business and they're like, but who am I?
And I just wanna stop it right there of like, of course you don't know who you are because all these parts of you that make up exactly who you are, who I am, we are different people, we are different energetic bodies.
If they live external to us and we have exiled them, and we have gotten rid of them, then what have we got in our heart space?
What have we got left within us that we can magnetically share our voice on that stage, or we can show up in business and close that sale, or we can, you know, how do we actually do those things that we're desiring to do without all these parts of us because you become an empty shell?
Because we believe, we've run a belief system that in exiling them, we can then move forward.
When I actually believe differently in that it's actually about bringing all these parts in with more love, with more, you know, reverence for them.
I've actually like, it's okay, you are safe.
I've got you now.
And I'm so sorry that you felt like that you had to do everything alone and there was no one there for you.
But I'm here, you know, I'm here for you.
And I've got you and I'm willing to carve out the space and I'm willing to lay here and, you know, receive kinesiology and I'm willing, and I feel worthy to receive Reiki.
I feel worthy to receive this energetics work because a lot of women actually, there's a part of them that believes that like, I won't, that's just, you know, that's ridiculous.
What's that going to do?
And also the worthiness of actually investing in themselves to have this type of work done to actually come home to themselves because there's also that thing of like, well, if you don't feel worthy, then you're also not going to feel worthy to invest in yourself.
And so that can be the actual first block that comes up in terms of people even starting the business.
Of like, I don't even feel worthy to spend this money on myself.
Even if it's going to be like in the field that we're in, even if it's going to be a health upgrade, even if it's going to be like literally the biggest health upgrade that you'll have, I don't feel worthy of actually receiving that love for my body.
Now, that's just not about the business investment.
It's run so much deeper within you of that you actually don't believe that you are worthy enough to really deeply look after yourself on a cellular level.
You don't believe that about yourself.
I see this as a really common theme coming up for women, but there's such a broad spectrum, but they're things that I really see people holding back in terms of voice activation as well.
Our voice and our truth is very deeply connected to our pleasure, to our root chakra.
If a woman isn't experiencing pleasure, if a woman isn't able to feel the fullness of her and really go into the body of the semantic body, then how can she possibly speak her truth?
She doesn't even know it herself.
And so when we've got this block in the throat chakra quite often, we also have a very ungrounded energy and we also have a block in our root chakra.
And these are very connected.
And it also can be with how you let men treat you in your life.
How's your relationship with the masculine?
How's your relationship with the feminine?
And so it just goes into so many depths and so many layers of us that most of the time we're not even willing to explore because it feels a bit scary.
You know, it feels a little bit too much because when we start to unpack this, it's kind of like, you know, going into the basement and there's all these like cobwebs and there's all these things there.
And it's like, it's an overwhelming chore.
And so quite often you might go down there and spend, you know, 20 minutes and think, oh, this is a bit too much.
I'm just going to go up and make a cuppa and you go back out of the basement because you're like, it's too much to actually unpack here.
And it's overwhelming me.
It can be very similar in terms of unpacking your energetics and really coming back into yourself, the embodiment work, all of it.
It's not easy work, which is why so many people live on a surface level of just scraping by and not truly understanding what they deeply yearn for.
But I truly believe that, you know, at the end of time, like when our time's up and you're sitting there and you're, you know, it's like the end of your time, you don't wanna go back and just leave up having a cup of tea and pretending that you don't care.
You wanna unpack everything and have it clean and be like fully living in your heart space because that's where women are magnetic.
When we're in our heart space and we feel safe in our bodies and you deeply, deeply are connected to yourself, to your divine feminine energy, that is when no matter what you want in this world, you can call it in, you can attract it, you can manifest it, you can create it.
You have so much power as a woman, but yet we've lost the sensation of actually bringing that power within from the base chakra up.
So that we can speak at trees.
I think it's so incredibly powerful to even know that we have the power to actually fix all of these things ourselves, right?
That we are able to recognize them, or I guess we have to learn to recognize them, but once we do, with the help of maybe a practitioner, right?
We are able to go that deep.
We can go into that basement, we can clear the cobwebs together, and we actually have the power to do that.
You're not broken, there's nothing wrong with you, there's nothing that has to be anything permanent, but just knowing that, like isn't that amazing?
The body and the being that we are, we have the power to make these changes if we're willing.
And that's why I always say we are so blessed to be on this journey, because honestly, it always brings me back to that realization.
This was so much more than purchasing this upgrade in health, this water machine, right?
What we get on this journey is just so much more.
It's really redefining you, really clearing what doesn't deserve to be there, and then upleveling you in every way.
And you said it as well, it's not just in business, it's the way you show up as a parent, the way you show up as a partner, it's just so powerful that that's what this journey actually opens to us.
This journey of self-discovery of just, yeah, every day.
I find it so incredibly amazing.
And it's beautiful that we get to share this story.
And I think it's important that we share this journey because that is the way we tap into other women.
And that because then all of a sudden they can see a piece of themselves.
And be like, oh, wait a second, because yes, you as who you are now, the Meaghan sitting there now, I'm sure it was, you felt different a couple of years ago before embarking on these journeys.
And they look at you and they say, oh, but Meaghan does this and she has that.
I don't have that.
But it also took, took all of us, and we're still on the journey very much.
So to actually get to that level.
Absolutely.
And it doesn't end.
I like to just let people know every time that I do any work with people.
It's like, hey, like I'm here to hold the space for you to work through this, and that's what my passion is.
However, we're not broken.
I still do this work.
I still have a monthly energetic session with who I feel comfortable holding me because sometimes we can't be the person to hold ourselves when we are sitting with our inner child, it can be quite triggering.
And so especially if you're a mother, at the same time, you're already holding so much space for your little ones, you almost give them so much of your high level energy of holding the space for them, that sometimes you can feel a bit depleted going into your own work.
And so this is where it's really powerful to invest with someone who feels safe for you, to actually explore the depth so that you can actually surrender into the work.
Whereas when you're trying to hold yourself in it, it can feel like actual work.
And I think there's this piece of us that really just needs to go, where do I feel safe to do that work?
And how can I actually give this to myself so that I can actually explode all areas of my life?
Because you will upgrade every area of your life when you start to realize that you are your business and you are the one that needs the investing into yourself so that you can invest into everything else externally, whether it's the house that you want, whether it's the car that you want, whether it's whatever physical thing that you're trying to manifest into your life.
I deeply believe that you can't do that until you've actually come home to yourself and you deeply believe that you're worthy of receiving all of this love and physical items and money, and there's so much there to unpack.
It can be generational things as well that aren't actually yours that you're not consciously aware of what's there.
But in the subconscious, there's these deep rooted beliefs that you're not worthy, or that money is not easy to come by, or that you're shy, or it's like in the family line that you're all introverted.
And so it can also be like generational woman wounds that you're unpacking, and that can feel really hard to do on your own as well.
But none of us are broken, none of us need fixing, all of us just need more love.
So many people need more love and also need to feel safe in a community.
Like they need to feel women were not meant to be solo, neither are men, but when we're just talking women, we were meant to thrive in community, to support and love one another, to open our arms and our space, to be like, hey, I've got you.
And yet we can't even do it for ourselves and we want to grow these empires.
So this is where I think the more you can hold yourself, the more you can hold a very successful business because that business also has an energy.
And so are you matching the frequency of what that business is?
And this is where we get to really get into that beautiful juiciness of unpacking who we are, where's our fire, where is our innate wisdom and how can we bring that forward in business and in our lifestyle.
It feels like there is two different, as you say, there's two different frequencies of energy when we are doing a job, a nine to five, when we're having just like a corporate career.
And we do like the work that we do, let's say we resonate with the product or service that the company has, but there's still a bit of a detachment to it.
There's still a bit of, you know, it's not so personal.
And when you start to go into this journey of it is your business, you know, it is your own pathway, it is you who is bringing in a team, it is you who is sharing your experience.
It becomes a bit more close to home.
And as women, what you say so true, we have not been taught because we haven't seen it, modeled for us, to put ourselves first.
Because as moms, especially as moms, we have to come last.
Our children come first, like that is our priority, that is what society has ingrained in us.
So just that stepping into a time for myself, into a daily practice or something that puts me first, where I get to tell my children, not now, you know, not now, this is the time that I need to do it for me, I need to hold myself so that I can hold you later, better.
It's like putting my own oxygen mask first before I can assist you.
It's a bit frowned upon.
And so there's these two elements that come into place.
The first one is, oh, I shouldn't be putting myself first as a mom.
I don't get to have that luxury.
If my child is sick, I have to be up with them, you know?
There's no one else to do it.
But on the other hand, there's also this aspect of this business model that requires our identity to be fully on.
And when it has to be fully on, where do we get that energy from, or where do we get that alignment from, or where do we feel that we can take it without feeling so vulnerable and exposed?
So what are some tips or, you know, daily practices that you would recommend to anyone who's considering or stepping into a business like this, where it requires their full presence in all of its glory, you know, with this wounded inner parts and knowing that it's a journey, that you cannot be fully fixed, quote unquote, because we know that's a myth anyway, but to feel like, oh, I need to have all my dogs in a row so that this can get started in the best way possible.
Yeah, beautiful question.
I think, to be honest, that it is in the journey that you build your success.
And so when people say that they need all their ducks in a row before they start business, I actually, you know, I just don't think that's how it works.
I think we actually get that, you know, the universe drops you what you need.
You've come across the opportunity and then it's going, actually, am I in charge of my intuition?
Am I listening in to what my sacral is telling me?
Or am I thinking with my head and what generational patterns have taught me?
Because when you can drop back in to your intuition and decide if this is a yes or a no, or if whatever business you're doing is a yes or a no, or whatever it is that you're embarking on, this relates to everything.
That's when you get to really decide that you're stepping back in to your feminine.
You start to really just make one choice at a time that guides you on the path to where you wanna be.
And then you just get to go, actually, this is my business, this is my life.
And what I need to now do is go, what is it that I need is a really beautiful question to ask yourself as a woman every day.
What do I need today?
What is on line for me?
Do I have an anxious feeling in my stomach?
Amazing, if I sit with that, what is that anxious feeling in my stomach needing right now?
Once you can discern this, then we know that this is a part of us that feels unworthy or whatever's coming up for you.
And you get to say to her, what is it that you need?
And she's like, I just need love, I just need to know that this is all gonna be okay because this feels really risky.
And so you go, of course, of course you feel like this is huge for you because you're eight years old.
And of course you felt like when you took that, you know, different, different idea in class and it maybe wasn't given an A plus.
And then all of a sudden you retracted into ever having your own idea, like whatever the part is of you.
And all she needs is love and knowing that it's okay to make mistakes along the way.
Then you can actually tell her how much she's loved, how much you appreciate her for trying to hold everything as an eight year old little girl and say, I've got you.
I've got you now as a 33 year old version of me, and I'm holding you.
And if you need a hug, then let's sit here and hug for 10 minutes.
Maybe you wrap your arms around yourself.
Maybe you make yourself a beautiful, warm cup of cacao in the morning.
You just sit with that part of her and you just say to her like, hey, I'm right here.
I'm not going anywhere.
And you just help her to feel less intimidated by the choices that you're making because she now isn't carrying the burden of the choice that you're making.
Because it's always a part of you within you that's running the show that you're not willing to sit with, which is why you can't actually make the next step.
And so when you sit with this part every day and you ask her, what does she need?
It can be a five-minute practice or it can be a 10-hour practice, like whatever it is.
If you've got five minutes to tune into that.
If you've got five minutes and really the whole scenario needs 10 hours, then you say to that part of you that you've got, hey, I've only got five minutes right now for you, but I really want to unpack this deeper with you.
I can really feel the pain that you're going through.
I'm right here and even though I've got to go to work right now, or I've got to attend to my children right now, I want you to know that I'm coming straight back tonight, seven o'clock, you and me, we've got a date and we are going to unpack this.
She knows, rest assured, that she can go and continue the day, knowing that you are coming straight back, just like your child that's going through something that you say to them, hey, mommy can't actually do this for you right this second, but I am right here, I love you so much.
I'm so sorry that you're feeling overwhelmed.
Also, I really want to give you the love that you deserve and that you need right now.
As soon as I finish on this phone call, can I come straight back and can I be with you fully present?
I'm going to put everything down and I just want to really tune in to what's going on for you.
Then in that moment, that child goes, okay, she's coming back, she knows.
That's what this little part of you needs, is reassurance that even if you can't sit with her right now, that you're not abandoning her because a lot of it is abandonment wounds and things that are stored in the body that don't actually allow us to step forward.
So that would be my number one tip, is what do I need today and how can I tune in to how I can possibly give this to this version of me.
I love that.
Thank you, Meagan, because I feel that when you are in a freedom business, which is what this business is about, as a mom, it's so expansive and it's so abundant to be able to feel that whenever you have one of your children and be going through something, that you can drop everything and just hold space for them, to be with them and to go through whatever they're going through, that roller coaster, without this pressing need of, I have to get back, the clock is ticking, this is happening, that we get to decide and choose.
And yes, there are maybe calls, there are maybe webinars, trainings, things that you have on your agenda, but that you know that you can either take a few moments to just address what is going on at home or that you can catch the replay later or modify things in a way that helps you feel empowered.
And I love that because as we are trying to heal this inner wounds, this inner part of us from way back when, we are also breaking that generational trauma, if you will.
I don't like to use that word, but just that generational legacy that continues to go on and on until someone in the family decides to say, okay, it ends with me.
And so in this freedom business, I think that a lot of us women, we have this incredible opportunity to just say it ends with me.
I will put in perhaps the effort or the sacrifice to say I'll invest whatever time I need to do the things that I need for myself.
But I can also show up so differently for my children already, just by the work that I'm doing, that I know that I don't have to have that in my conscience, that I know that I can just say, hey, I did the best that I could with what I knew that I had.
And I put the tools in place, and I'm doing it for you so that you can be free, so that you can actually do your own life in the way that you want it, without having all this prior conditioning, right?
That we sometimes have, unfortunately, from other generations.
Absolutely, yeah.
Absolutely, I totally agree.
I absolutely agree with everything that you're saying.
And I also like to just highlight with, you know, saying that when we can't spend time with, say, our child or the part of us, we also probably have a part of us that comes online that's like, I can't actually discern what I need in this moment.
And it could be sitting with the people, please, a part of you and being like, oh, God, okay, I'm actually not willing to hang up this phone call or cancel the webinar that I'm running or change things because I have a deep belief that I have to please all these people I'm showing up for.
And again, it's an invitation to sit with this part and go, actually, can I clear my schedule?
Can I just not take that call?
Can I not go to the thing that I said yes to?
Because in any given moment, we have autonomy over what we say yes and no to, and we get to change that.
Not out of a way that we're letting others down, but that we're actually not letting ourselves down anymore.
And when you have a business that you actually run, this is where you get choice.
And you go, actually, my child needs me over doing whatever it is that I'd pre-committed to.
And yes, it's in an hour, and I know that's really hard for the other person.
And I'm gonna honor that in the message that I send, hey, I'm so sorry that I can't actually commit to this anymore, something's come up.
I'm so excited to present with you, but I really wanna make sure that I'm in the right space to do this.
And so can we reschedule this?
I'm gonna have to come back in because I've got something else that needs to take a priority right now.
You don't need to over explain.
You don't need to go into it.
You actually just get to go, you know what, my life, my choices.
And if I say it in the right way and I have healthy communication, this actually just gets to be rescheduled because the biggest thing that we need to honor is our wellbeing and our children's wellbeing.
And that's why we get into business as mothers.
And when we run a heartfelt business like that, we naturally attract these types of people and other moms.
And I love working with other moms because they understand.
They totally understand.
You know, when you say, listen, I need to be there for my son, for my daughter right now.
And like, yeah, of course.
And it's just the most beautiful part.
Or if you hold Zoom meetings and they'll be sitting on our lap.
You know, you could not do that in any other business, but here it's fine.
And we're setting that tone.
We're opening up that door.
It's such a complete, hard-lit, soulful business.
I think it's just a blessing for us to all be here together.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
We need more of these communities.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's amazing what a feminine collective that feels aligned, that feels healed and that feels empowered is able to do.
And whenever one of us needs that support or needs that help, then the rest of us can pitch in and show up.
And I think that's the great thing of working collectively.
And with Desiree, we see it.
This podcast wouldn't have gone as long as it has if we were doing it by ourselves.
But because we're doing it together, we can join forces.
We can collectively cover for each other or be like, I cannot do this right now, but maybe you can do it right now and so forth.
And I feel that this type of business calls us as well because of that, because we have that same synergy and that same willingness to do the same.
It's like, yeah, you're my fellow sister.
And when you get to be okay, everybody gets to be okay.
And so it's that sharing that comes through.
Yeah, absolutely.
Women are the heart of the home.
You have to look after you.
Yeah, exactly.
Oh, Meagan, thank you so much.
Thank you so much really for sharing this space with us, for really allowing us to feel into your world of energetics and everything you bring to us and our teams and our whole collective.
And yeah, it's another thing we're also grateful for, to be surrounded by such amazing, powerful women.
So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being here and we look forward to where this journey brings us all together.
Yeah, it's been really nice.
And if you want to connect with Meagan and listen more to her wisdom and to her incredible insights and just following her journey, we are going to be sharing all her details in our show notes, but just so you can start following right away in her Instagram, it's at Meagan underscore Hughes and Meagan, it's spelled M-E-A-G-A-N underscore Hughes underscore.
So thank you so much.
We loved having you here and as Desiree says, it is a huge honor for us to be in your energy and to know that you are one of those beacons of light and inspiration for all of us, to help us slow down just a tiny little bit, to see what's going on under the hood, and so that we can move forward with so much ease and inspiration later on.
If you found value, inspiration, or a nugget of wisdom in any part of our conversation, we would be so grateful if you could take a moment to show your support.
